The Glade of Oakenbrow

The Glade of Oakenbrow is the eldest of the great forest-realms of the Sylvaneth, a gladeworld whose soulpods have quickened since the earliest days of the Age of Myth. Its Treelords remember the world before Chaos, and its lore-keepers hold memories that even the goddess Alarielle has half-forgotten, rooted deep in the loam of ages.

Oakenbrow is counted the most reasonable of the glades toward the younger races, and its dryads and Kurnoth Hunters march more readily than most beside the mortal armies of Order. Where other glades regard all axe-bearing folk as despoilers, Oakenbrow remembers old alliances and the value of a shared foe. Its warriors will emerge from wyldwoods that grow in a single night, striking at the enemies of the forest and then melting back into the green.

Yet even Oakenbrow's patience has its limits. The glade wages ceaseless war against the tide of Nurgle's blight and the burning of the Orruk Warclans, and it will suffer no lasting insult to the wilds. To ally with Oakenbrow is to gain a friend of terrible antiquity, and to earn its enmity is to learn that the forest neither forgets nor forgives.
