Cygor

The Cygor is a towering monstrosity of the Beasts of Chaos, kin to the Ghorgon but twisted toward a stranger hunger. Blind to the ordinary world, its single great eye perceives only the shimmer of magic, the glow of souls, and the aetheric radiance of wizards, and it is these it lumbers toward, driven by a ravenous need to feed.

A Cygor devours magic the way other beasts devour flesh. It gorges on the ambient energies of the realms, and the presence of a spellcaster is to it an irresistible feast, drawing it across the battlefield in single-minded pursuit. It fights by tearing up great slabs of rock and hurling them across vast distances, each boulder capable of pulping a knight or shattering a war-machine, and it crushes any foe that comes within reach of its massive fists. Warriors who rely on sorcery fear the Cygor above all other beasts, for its hunger unravels their spells and its aim is drawn unerringly to the brightest soul on the field, which is so often their own.
