Khorgorath

No two stories agree on what a khorgorath was before Khorne's gifts found it, and the beast itself is long past remembering. What remains is a mountain of muscle armoured in plates of bone, lashing tentacles of fused vertebrae ending in fanged skulls, and a single purpose: the harvest. A khorgorath tears the heads from its victims and absorbs them into its own ever-growing carapace, wearing its tally the way a king wears a crown.

The Bloodbound drive khorgoraths ahead of their hordes like living siege engines, goaded to fury with whips and hooked chains, and the control this implies is mostly theatre. When the enemy breaks, the beast keeps harvesting, for a khorgorath draws no distinction between the skulls of foes and the skulls of friends. The Bloodbound accept the arrangement without complaint. Khorne, they note approvingly, doesn't either.
