Sloppity Bilepiper

The Sloppity Bilepiper is the Grandfather's jester, a Herald of Nurgle who understands that despair, properly tended, curdles into a horrible hilarity. Capering on cloven feet through the droning ranks, it puts a marotter of grinning bone to its lips and plays upon a set of piped entrails, wringing from them a tune so wretched and so funny that friend and foe alike are seized by helpless, gurgling laughter.

That merriment is a weapon. Where a Bilepiper's music drifts, enemy warriors falter, giggling even as spears pierce them, their discipline dissolving into black hysteria. Among the plaguebearers the effect is different but no less potent: the tallybands take heart, their spirits buoyed by the jester's antics, and fall upon the foe with renewed and cheerful vigour. The Sloppity Bilepiper wants nothing more than to share the great joke at the heart of Nurgle's worship: that everything rots, everything ends, and it is all, in the end, tremendously amusing.
