Celestial Hurricanum

The Celestial Hurricanum is a mystical war machine of the Empire, constructed under the auspices of the Celestial Order of wizards who study the heavens and the movements of the stars. Mounted upon a great carriage is a whirling orrery of golden spheres and astral instruments, tended by a Celestial Wizard who reads portents in the swirling comets bound to the device. From this apparatus the wizard can call down storms of comets and lashing bolts of azure lightning upon the foes of the Empire of Man.

The Hurricanum is more than a weapon of destruction, for the celestial energies that swirl about it also lend fell purpose to the soldiers who march in its shadow, guiding their blows with uncanny prescience gleaned from the stars above. Its predictions of the tides of battle grant the armies of men a measure of foresight amid the chaos of war.

Built within the observatories of the Celestial College, each Hurricanum is a treasure of the Empire, a rolling monument to the stargazers whose knowledge helps hold back the endless night that presses upon the realms of mankind.
