Thundertusk

The Thundertusk is a beast of the deep cold, a shaggy mountain of muscle and matted hair that carries the killing chill of the high peaks with it wherever it lumbers. Ancient beyond reckoning, it exhales a freezing, numbing frost that creeps ahead of its advance, slowing the blood and stealing the strength of any foe it draws near, so that warriors stand sluggish and shivering as its great curved tusks come sweeping in. Ogres who master one ride it to war upon a lashed-on howdah, hurling harpoons and hunting-spears from its back while the beast itself gores and tramples all before it. Where the Stonehorn is a battering ram of living rock, the Thundertusk is a slower, crueller thing: a bringer of killing winter that freezes an enemy in place before crushing them. To ride one is a Tyrant's proudest boast, second only to the taming of a Stonehorn itself.
