Chaos Warhounds

Chaos Warhounds are the corrupted hunting packs of the northern tribes, hounds bred large and vicious and then twisted further by the touch of the Wastes until few resemble any natural dog. Some run on too many legs, some steam with unnatural heat, some have gone entirely wrong in ways their handlers no longer bother to remark upon. What they share is speed, hunger, and an eagerness to kill that needs little encouragement. The warlords of Chaos loose them ahead of the main body of the horde to screen its advance, flush out skirmishers, and run down anyone foolish enough to flee, worrying at the enemy's edges so the black-armoured killers behind can strike unhindered. They are expendable and know nothing of it, driven purely by the joy of the chase. On the hunt they are a nuisance made of teeth; in the moment a battle-line breaks, they become a massacre, pouring through the gap to pull down the routing before they reach safety.
