Orc Choppa

The Orc Choppa is the weapon that the Orc and Goblin Tribes esteem above all others, for it perfectly suits the greenskin way of war: crude, heavy, and devastatingly simple. Beaten together from looted iron, broken swords, and whatever sharp scrap the boyz can scavenge, a choppa needs no artistry to be effective. An orc simply raises it high and brings it down with all the enormous strength of his brawny green arms.

There is a savage genius to the choppa's simplicity. It requires no training, no finesse, only the boundless enthusiasm for violence that every orc possesses in abundance. In the press of a battle-line, a mob of orcs hacks and hews with wild abandon, their choppas rising and falling like a forest of butcher's cleavers, and the sheer weight and ferocity of their blows can smash apart shield-walls that would hold against more disciplined foes.

To an orc, a bigger choppa is always a better choppa, and the greatest warbosses carry blades so massive that a man could scarcely lift them. Such a weapon marks its bearer as the strongest and most fearsome of the mob, for among greenskins might makes right, and the biggest, meanest orc with the biggest, meanest choppa is the one the others follow. In a good scrap, there is nothing an orc loves more than the meaty thunk of a choppa finding its mark.
