The Aurelia Crusade

The Aurelia sub-sector was the cradle and the hunting-ground of the Blood Ravens, and when it came under assault the Chapter fought not merely for the Imperium but for its own soul. The Aurelia Crusade pitted these Space Marines against a rising tide of threats that struck at their worlds from every direction at once, a war that would test their loyalty as sorely as their skill at arms.

The crusade was a war of many faces. The Chaos Space Marines worked to corrupt the sub-sector from within, spreading rebellion and daemonic taint, while Orks rampaged across the outer worlds and the Tyranids cast their devouring shadow across the region's stars. The Blood Ravens were stretched thin, their fortresses besieged, their libraries and secrets imperilled by enemies who seemed to know exactly where to strike.

Through treachery and hard-won triumph, the Chapter held its home, though the crusade left it changed and haunted by questions about its own murky origins. The Aurelia sub-sector endured, its worlds preserved from corruption and consumption alike, but the victory carried a shadow. The Blood Ravens had defended their birthright, yet in doing so had brushed against truths about themselves that some among them would have preferred to leave forever buried.
