A Wych Cult is a gladiatorial society of the Drukhari, one of the great institutions of Commorragh alongside the Kabals. Where the Kabals wage war with gun and blade from afar, the Wych Cults are masters of the arena, worshipping the arts of close-quarters murder as a form of both sport and dark spiritual sustenance.
The Wyches themselves are lithe, acrobatic warriors, predominantly female, who fight with dazzling speed and lethal grace before the baying crowds of Commorragh's blood-soaked arenas. They drink in the terror and death of their opponents, feeding the same soul-hunger that torments all their kind, and their spectacles draw audiences from across the dark city eager to feast upon vicarious agony.
In war, a Wych Cult sells its services to the Kabals, providing shock troops who close with the enemy in a whirl of blades and combat drugs. Bound by ancient rivalries and gladiatorial pride, the Cults are as treacherous as any other faction of the Drukhari, yet none can match their artistry in the intimate business of killing.
