Stormraven Gunship

The Stormraven Gunship is the workhorse of the Grey Knights' rapid style of war, a single craft that serves at once as armoured transport, orbital lander and heavily armed strike fighter. When the knights of Titan cannot descend by teleportation, it is the Stormraven that carries them into the fray, sweeping low to deliver a full squad and its supporting Dreadnought before wheeling about to rain fire upon the foe until the moment comes to withdraw.

This versatility suits the Grey Knights perfectly, for their battles are seldom slow or static. A Stormraven can drop its cargo of warriors into the very eye of an incursion, hold the skies above them with roaring guns and missiles, and extract them again once the deed is done, all within the span of a single furious engagement. Few other craft grant a strike force such reach and such punishing firepower within one hull.

The machines flown by the Grey Knights are no ordinary gunships. Their hulls are sheathed in Aegis armour plating, every surface scribed with protective litanies and anointed with sacred oils so that the craft may weather the psychic fury of daemons as readily as enemy fire. Their launchers are loaded with mindstrike missiles, warheads that unleash a psychic detonation devastating to the creatures of the warp, ensuring that even in the air the Stormraven remains a hunter of the unclean.
