Knight Errant

The Knight Errant is favoured by pilots who relish the brutal certainty of close-range destruction. Its thermal cannon is a weapon of terrible potency, capable of vaporising the thickest armour plating and boiling the largest monstrous creatures where they stand. To bring such a weapon to bear, the Errant must close with its target, and so the pattern demands a certain fearlessness from those who pilot it.

Errants often advance alongside their Paladin kin, forming mixed lances that combine the Paladin's versatility with the Errant's raw stopping power. When an enemy fortification must be cracked or a war-beast slain, it is the Errant that houses call upon. The intense heat of its signature weapon has earned it a fearsome reputation among the Imperium's foes, who have learned to dread the sudden, searing light that heralds a Knight Errant's charge.

Like all Questoris-class machines, the Errant carries a reaper chainsword for the final reckoning, and its carapace weapons add reach to its arsenal. It is a machine of unambiguous purpose, forged to burn.
