Charonite Ogryn Brutes

The Charonite Ogryn Brutes are ogryns pressed into the service of the Solar Auxilia and remade by the surgeons of the Charon Protocol, their already-mighty frames further augmented and their dim minds shackled to obedience. The process leaves them living engines of destruction, driven forward to smash apart whatever the cohort's disciplined firepower cannot break.

Wreathed in heavy plating and armed with brutal close-combat weapons, a knot of Charonites hits an enemy line like a landslide, scattering formations and crushing armour in a frenzy of raw strength. There is a quiet cruelty in their making, for the Charon Protocol strips away what little the ogryn was to leave only a controllable weapon, but in the pitiless calculus of the Crusade such considerations count for nothing. Where the Auxilia need a hammer, the Charonites are unleashed.
