Slickblade Seekers

Slickblade Seekers are Sybarites who traded everything else they were for velocity. Mounted upon daemon steeds fast enough to blur into mirage, they strike with crescent glaives at the full stretch of the charge, and a battle-line they pass through stands whole for a heartbeat longer before it discovers it has already been cut down.

The steeds choose their riders, and they choose connoisseurs: only a Sybarite whose craving for speed is pure (unmixed with fear, ambition, or any thought of survival) can keep the saddle. Every Slickblade lives inside a private arms race, for each ride must outpace the last, and somewhere ahead waits the terrible day when there is no faster left to go.
