Akhelian Leviadon

Greatest of the beasts the Akhelian academies dare to bridle, the leviadon is a living bastion: a deep-ocean turtle so vast it carries a crewed war-howdah upon its shell, razorshell harpoon launchers working in pairs behind armoured rails. It does not charge so much as arrive, and what it arrives upon stays down.

Lashed to its shell is the void drum, an Isharann instrument whose slow beat deepens the ethersea around the host: sound dies, light drowns, and enemy blows land soft and slow, as if thrown underwater. Namarti rally to the leviadon's shadow and Akhelians wheel around it like fish about a reef, for while the drum still beats, the deep protects its own.
