Akhelian Morrsarr Guard

The Morrsarr Guard are the killing stroke of an Idoneth raid. Mounted upon fangmora eels (sinuous predators that slide through the ethersea's gloom as easily as through open water), they hit like a riptide with voltspears lowered, and are gone before the dead have finished falling.

At the moment of the charge a fangmora releases its hoarded biovoltaic charge in one crackling instant, and whole regiments convulse as living lightning arcs from spear-tip to shield-rim to spine. The Morrsarr are Akhelian nobility at their proudest: graduates of the war-academies, jealous of glory, and taught from first oath to last that the enclaves endure only because someone is willing to be the storm.
