Blood Knights

Blood Knights are what happens when the Soulblight nobility takes the field in person: orders of deathless chivalry mounted on nightmare steeds that ride down anything with a pulse. Their charge strikes with a force no living cavalry can match, lances punching through shieldwalls as though through wet parchment, and they wheel and re-form with parade-ground contempt for whatever survives.

Every rite of knighthood endures among them (the vigils, the heraldry, the courtesies of the lists), preserved perfectly and hollowed out. Many were knights in mortal life, granted the curse as reward or as punishment, and their honor has curdled into something colder. They still salute courage in an enemy, the way a connoisseur salutes a vintage.
