Gutter Runners

Gutter Runners are the elite killers of Clan Eshin, the shadowy assassin-clan of the Skaven, and the finest infiltrators the Under-Empire can loose upon an unsuspecting foe. Clad in dark wrappings and moving with a silence no creature their size has any right to possess, they scale sheer walls, slip through gutters and sewers, and materialise behind enemy lines to strike where the target is softest. Their weapons are chosen for swift, quiet murder: poisoned blades, weeping-blade daggers and clouds of razor-edged throwing stars that drop sentries before a cry can leave the throat. Gutter Runners do not fight pitched battles; they murder, sabotage and vanish, cutting down warlords, spiking cannons and butchering crews before melting back into the shadows they came from. Even other skaven fear them, for Clan Eshin sells its services to the highest bidder among the warlord clans, and a scheming Grey Seer never quite knows whether the runners in the rafters are guarding him or measuring him for a blade.
