Saboteur Cadre

Long before the Alpha Legion committed a single warrior to open battle, its Saboteur Cadres had already been at work, infiltrating an enemy's lines to poison his strength from within. These were specialists in destruction of a quieter kind, the collapsed reactor, the corrupted cogitator, the ammunition dump that detonated at the worst possible moment, the bridge that fell as reinforcements crossed it. Operating in secret, often for weeks in advance of any recognisable engagement, a saboteur cadre transformed a coming battle into a foregone conclusion, ensuring that when the Legion's warriors finally struck, they struck a foe already crippled by unseen hands. They excelled at seeding false trails and sowing paranoia, turning an enemy's own defences and suspicions against him. In a Legion that regarded open warfare as a last resort, the Saboteur Cadres were among the truest expressions of its philosophy, warriors who understood that the most decisive blow was often the one the enemy never even recognised as an attack.
