Phoenix Guard

The Phoenix Guard are Fulgrim's chosen protectors, Terminator-armoured champions drawn from the most accomplished warriors the III Legion could produce. Bearing the flame of the phoenix as their emblem, they embody the Legion's ideal of martial perfection sealed within the impenetrable bulk of Terminator plate, an honour guard whose skill matched the splendour of their arms. Where Fulgrim went to war in person, the Phoenix Guard were rarely far behind.

Their perfection was not merely defensive; the Phoenix Guard struck with the same exacting artistry that defined every facet of the Emperor's Children, wielding power weapons of exquisite make with flawless technique. After the Legion's corruption, they became guardians of a fallen god's vanity, their gleaming plate adorned ever more elaborately as their souls curdled beneath it.
