Legion Outrider Squad

The Legion Outrider Squad was the White Scars given form: a knot of riders who lived in the saddle, ranging far beyond the ordu to scout the ground and strike where the foe least expected. Mounted on swift assault bikes, the Outriders of the V Legion embodied Jaghatai Khan's doctrine of the sudden storm: appear from nowhere, savage a flank or a supply line with bolter and blade, and be gone across the horizon before the enemy could wheel to face them. To the sons of Chogoris, the open flank was a hunting-ground and the pursuit a joy, and no Legion ran down a broken foe with such relish. These riders carried the brotherhood's honour markings and the lightning of the Khan's ordu, and they read the flow of a battle the way their forebears once read the great plains: at a gallop, and without fear.
