Tigrus

Tigrus was once a proud forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus, renowned across the Imperium for the quality of its weapons and the skill of its artisans. Its bolter-patterns and blades were prized by warriors of the Space Marines and Astra Militarum alike, and its forges burned bright with the labour of the Machine God's faithful.

That glory is long extinguished. Tigrus fell to the corruption of Chaos, its tech-priests turned from the light of the Omnissiah to darker masters, its manufactorums seized and defiled. What emerges from its forges now is twisted and profane, weapons of murder forged for the Chaos Space Marines and the warbands that raid from the void. The world's fall was a grievous blow, for the secrets it held were beyond price and now serve only ruin.

The Imperium has warred to reclaim Tigrus more than once, and blood beyond counting has been spilled upon its blackened plains. Its forges are prizes worth any sacrifice, yet the taint that grips the world runs bone-deep, and each assault founders against the horrors that now call it home. Tigrus endures as a monument to how swiftly the mightiest bastion can be turned to the service of damnation, a wound in the Imperium's flank that will not close.
