Auric Runefather

The Auric Runefather is the undisputed king of a Fyreslayers lodge, an ancient warrior-smith in whose flesh burns more ur-gold than any of his sons. To the duardin of the Fyreslayers he is father, general and living idol of Grimnir all at once, his every word law within the volcanic magmahold. In battle he seldom deigns to walk, instead mounting the broad back of a magmadroth, the great fire-lizard whose molten breath and thrashing tail clear a bloody path before him. From this smouldering throne the Runefather swings a latch-key grandaxe in slow, crushing arcs, each blow splitting shields and shattering bone. The runes hammered into his skin flare with borrowed divinity, hardening his hide and lending his strikes the weight of an avalanche. When a Runefather falls, his lodge does not mourn so much as rage, and his heirs will pursue the blood-price of his death across realms to see him avenged.
