Salamander Hunting Pack

The Salamander Hunting Pack brings the fury of the deep jungle to the Lizardmen battle-line, a clutch of squat, fire-breathing reptiles goaded into the fray by nimble skink handlers. Salamanders are sullen, dangerous beasts, and their keepers must prod and cajole them without pause, but once roused they belch great gouts of caustic, clinging flame that reduce ranks of armoured warriors to charred ruin in moments. The skinks that herd them dart alongside with goads and nets, driving the beasts toward the densest press of the enemy and hauling them back before their tempers turn upon their own side. There is ever a risk in fielding such creatures, for a hungry or ill-tempered salamander may as soon devour a handler as a foe. Yet few weapons in the temple-cities' arsenal sow such terror, for against massed infantry the searing breath of a Salamander Hunting Pack is a horror from which there is no cover and little escape.
