Saurus Warriors

Saurus Warriors are the backbone of the Lizardmen host, spawned from the sacred pools as fully formed soldiers with the arts of war already coiled in their reptilian minds. Broad and heavily muscled, armoured in tough scaled hide and clad in the war-gear of their spawning, they advance in dense phalanxes bristling with spear and celestite blade, indifferent to fear, fatigue, or pain. A saurus does not boast, does not flee, and does not question; it exists to kill the enemies of the Old Ones, and it performs that task with the patient, remorseless efficiency of a thing built rather than born. In the crush of battle they hold their ranks like a wall of living stone, and when they strike back the sheer power in their jaws and claws can crack armour and bone alike. To face a saurus cohort is to fight a tide that neither hurries nor tires nor stops.
