Among the Orders Militant, none charges into the guns of the enemy with quite the same reckless hunger as the Bloody Rose, an Order whose entire martial philosophy holds that hesitation is itself a form of sin. Where other Sisters might advance behind a wall of covering fire, the Rose's companies favor headlong assaults, entrusting their survival not to caution but to the strength of their devotion, and treating any retreat, however tactically sound, as a small betrayal of their calling.
The Order's iconography, the crimson rose, is meant to evoke both beauty and thorns, a reminder that the Emperor's love for humanity is inseparable from the violence required to protect it. Bloody Rose convents are known for producing a disproportionate number of Seraphim, the jump-pack-equipped Sisters whose entire purpose is to close distance with the enemy as quickly and violently as possible, a role that suits the Order's temperament perfectly.
