Hospitaller

The Hospitaller is a Sister of the Orders Hospitaller, the healers and chirurgeons of the Adepta Sororitas, and she walks the battlefield where others fear to tread, into the killing ground to reach the fallen. With an array of blessed instruments, sacred unguents, and no small measure of prayer, she binds wounds that should be mortal and coaxes life back into bodies the enemy had left for dead. To the Sisters she tends her arrival is a small miracle; a warrior carried off the line broken and bleeding may return within the hour, stitched and steadied, to take up her bolter once more. Yet the Hospitaller is no gentle nurse. She has seen too much butchery for softness, and she wields her blade with the same sure hand that wields the suture. She understands, as all her Order does, that every Sister saved is another instrument of the Emperor's wrath preserved, and that mercy, in the grim reality of the galaxy, is simply another weapon in the war against the dark.
