Shadowseer

The Shadowseer is the mystic of the masque, a psyker who weaves illusion and terror as deftly as the other Players weave blades. Master of the powers of the veil, the Shadowseer clouds the minds of the enemy, filling their thoughts with phantoms, drowning them in nightmares, and hiding the troupe behind curtains of shifting unreality until the killing blow is struck. In the great performances it is the Shadowseer who conjures the images that make the myth-cycles live.

Armed with a miststave and a neuro disruptor that overloads the minds of the foe, the Shadowseer fights with the same lethal grace as any Player, but her true weapons are subtler. She bends perception and sows confusion, so that enemies fire upon phantoms, flee from illusions, and never see the true danger until it is upon them. A masque that goes to war behind a skilled Shadowseer seems to melt through the battlefield like a fever-dream, real and unreal at once. She is the keeper of the masque's illusions, and the architect of its every deadly deception.
