Neophyte Hybrids

Neophyte Hybrids are the third and fourth generations of a cult's bloodline, so far removed from their genestealer sire that only the subtlest signs betray their nature. They live among the general populace as unremarkable citizens, holding down the mundane jobs that keep a hive world running while quietly answering to the brood. This ordinariness is their greatest weapon, for they can move weapons, gather intelligence, and infiltrate institutions without arousing suspicion.

When the uprising ignites, the neophytes cast off their disguises and take up the armouries they have spent years assembling in secret. Equipped with commandeered lasguns, mining charges, and heavy tools repurposed for war, they surge forth in overwhelming numbers. Individually they are no match for a hardened soldier, but they fight with the reckless devotion of the whole brood behind them and know every alley, shaft, and rooftop of their home.

Their strength lies in coordination and surprise rather than raw skill. Neophytes excel at ambush, at seizing objectives through mass and momentum, and at soaking up punishment that would break a conventional force. They are the tide that carries the cult's deadlier warriors forward, expendable yet essential, willing to die by the hundred for a salvation they will never see.
