Purestrain Genestealers

Purestrain Genestealers are the pure expression of the Tyranid organism from which all Genestealer Cults spring. Unlike the hybrids that make up the bulk of a brood, they carry no dilution of human blood, standing as sleek predators of alien design. Their four rending claws and pair of grasping limbs mark them unmistakably, and they move with a fluid, terrifying speed that leaves defenders no time to react.

Within the cult they occupy a place of reverence and dread, kin to the Patriarch and closest to the hidden hunger that drives the whole brood. They are often held back until the decisive moment, concealed in tunnels or lurking in ambush, so that their onslaught lands with maximum shock. When they strike, they do so in a blur of talons, gutting the finest infantry and cracking open armour that would defy an entire squad of cultists.

On the battlefield purestrains are the tip of the spear, the killers around which an assault is built. They cover ground with unnerving quickness, closing the distance before ranged fire can thin their ranks, then tearing into the enemy in a frenzy of close slaughter. Silent, relentless, and all but impossible to stop once loosed, they are the truest and most horrifying face of the cult's alien soul.
