Atalan Jackals

The Atalan Jackals are the roving eyes of a Genestealer Cult, fourth-generation neophyte hybrids mounted upon rugged dirtcycles and heavily armed wolfquads. They range far beyond the brood's hidden heart, scouring the badlands and frontier tracts of their world, and though they masquerade as the prospecting scout-teams that any mining concern might field, the bounty they truly hunt is not ore or fuel but human life, the one resource a cult prizes above all others.

This disguise serves them well, for across the Imperium it is common enough to see packs of bikes tearing out from a mining hub toward the horizon, and few ever trouble to ask where they are bound or why. Under that cover the Jackals map new territory ripe for infestation, mark out isolated settlements to be quietly converted, and carry the brood's whispered gospel into places it has never before reached.

In open battle they fight as they ride, serpent-fast and all but impossible to pin down, jinking through incoming fire to close the distance and strike. They lash out with crowbars, electro-hatchets and crude improvised blades, and the boldest among them prime hidden mining charges on the move before hurling them into the enemy's midst. As swiftly as they descend they are gone again, leaving only wreckage and confusion in the dust of their passing.
