Witchseekers

The Witchseekers are the flame-bearers of the Silent Sisterhood, and their name is no idle boast, for they exist to hunt down the rogue psyker, the mutant and the warp-tainted wherever such corruption festers. Like all the Sisters of Silence they are pariahs, Nulls whose very souls are absent from the warp, so that the powers of a witch curdle and fail in their presence. Where their Vigilator sisters close with the blade and their Prosecutor kin strike from afar with the bolter, the Witchseekers wield consecrated flame, drowning packs of cultists, covens of sorcerers and gibbering mutants alike in cleansing fire. There is a bitter symbolism in their chosen weapon, for fire has ever been the Imperium's answer to the unclean, and the Witchseekers deliver that judgement without hesitation or remorse. In the earliest days they scoured whole worlds of latent psykers at the Emperor's command, and though the order dwindled through long ages, those who remain fight beside the Adeptus Custodes with the same implacable purpose. When they advance, wreathed in silence and rising heat, no witch's power can save the doomed from the flames.
